These tranquil camps are ideal for couples, families and groups of friends. For the sporty there is sea kayaking, snorkeling, SCUBA diving and beachcombing. Or heed the call of a shady hammock or hideaway next to the water and just "time-out". You decide!

Day 1:

SAA flight from Johannesburg to Lilongwe. Road transfer from the airport to Cape Maclear. Overnight at a beach lodge of choice overlooking the lake.

Day 2:

Short stroll from the beach lodge to Mumbo Island reception. After a familiarisation and safety briefing on the beach, kayak or boatride out to the first Island Camp. Overnight in the Island Camp.

Days 3 and 4:

Days at leisure. Relax or explore at will, making use of sea kayaks, snorkelling gear and shady hammocks. Overnight in the Island Camps.

Day 8:

Morning boatride back to the mainland, followed by the road transfer to Club Makokola airfield. Private charter flight to Lilongwe International Airport, where you will connect with your SAA flight to Johannesburg.

Try SCUBA diving. There are both introductory and qualifying courses for beginners; or casual dives for qualified divers.
